Hi all.
Working as a professional drummer, I've been using the Sennheiser IE 800 as my live IEMs for a few months and really enjoying it. I've had to experiment with finding the tips that provide the best seal, and using one of the larger sizes it's working great. My in-ear mixes are the best I've yet experienced - it sounds like I'm playing with a record minus drums and better and is a joyous enhancement to my musical life.
I had some concerns about sound isolation levels and so I got in touch with Sennheiser directly and they did some research and officially confirmed that the ID 800 provides isolation of 26 dB, which is very decent, so for those of you considering the IE 800 as a live IEM, I highly recommend it!
I'm wondering if there's anyone else on here using the IE 800 as their IEM for live music performance?
Best.

P.S. for those interested here's a recent clip of me drumming live with one of my musical projects.
