HD 800S has arrived. Searched, but no help. How long is a good break in period for HD800/800S????????

If you believe in driver break in then I’d say a couple hours at a high volume then just listen and let your brain adjust.

I have had what I believe to be "break in" with some of my headphones, like the Meze Neo 99's, but the 800S have sounded awesome since I got them. No break-in noticed on my end.

Unboxed tonight and swapped in the balanced cord. Very comfortable headphone like my other ones. Comfort and performance is all I care about. Long headphone cables are just too much. Can't wait for my Wywires Platinum balanced to get here. Great 5 foot cord. I see what you guys are talking about --they are quite lovely sounding right out of the box. I will give them 100 hours break in with the Wywires Platinum when it gets here. Should sound fantastic with the DNA Stratus ---when it gets here.

Anyone tried these Dekoni pads on their HD800S?

They were available on Massdrop at one point...

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm under impression that HD800 pads fits HD800S just right as well.

I have their Fenestrated Sheepskin pads for a little over a week, and they do fit HD800S perfectly.

Have not ordered anything from Massdrop but Dekoni website show they have 44 in stock.

Impression on this pair of pads is very positive as they are very comfortable and can be used for hours without fatiguing.
