I mainly listen to big sounding, guitar based music like shoegaze, post-rock and post-punk. Occasionally I listen to classical.
I'm leaning towards the HD650 but I'm afraid the alleged intimacy in terms of sound stage won't ..contain these genres, if you know what I mean.

ma900s started their journey as a underrated headphone now its the opposite 
Their ragged presentation makes me want to flip them off , I sold mine in 3 days ...the 650s are superior in every way for your music need , you might want to consider a hd600 since its cheaper

HD600 are another nice option.. more clear sound...
