Just saw that because Crutchfield lowered their price to $449 ... amazon went down to $429 ..... is this a great deal>? should I bite?

Not a great deal. Sennheiser been pushing the prices up, a 'good' price would probably be $360ish? A great price was when the fuxed up on black friday and let some go for $275.

I heard there is some promotion going on with HD650 - you can get $50 rebate if you buy HD650 before May 1st.
 
Just search this forum, especially the HD650 appreciation thread.
 
So $429 - $50 would sound very attractive to me...lol

Since you can get brand new HD650 between $300 and $400, I will say a reasonable price for used ones should fall between $200 and $300.
