Hi guys, my birthday was 6 days ago, and I've got way too much money

Yesterday, I've seen the HD598 on Amazon.ca for 150$ (CAD) with the delivery cost and taxes it goes up to 180$, I already have IEMs (1More Triple Driver) I don't know if I should take them, I don't have a good headset (I only have my HyperX Cloud, they're not bad but I want something open for music etc.) but I have good IEMs so...

Thank you for your replies :smile_phones:

Yea definitely grab the 598 if you want something better than the Cloud for gaming! I'd say the Fidelio X2 and 598 are easily among the best headphones for gaming and will crush any "gaming" headset easily.

$180 for an HD598? See if you can get a Beyerdynamic for a similar price. Though the 250/600 ohm versions will need an amp. HD598 doesn't "need" an amp, but it does benefit from one. Or just get a Philips SHP9500 or Superlux 668b or something and pocket the rest of the money until you more know what kind of headphone you want.

I don't want something for gaming, but for music (but yes I will play games with)

The price is 150$ (180$ with shipping and taxes), the DT990 is 225$ and more

I'm also looking for the HD 598 and I intend to use it with Schiit Fulla 2 for music, and for what everyone talks about not the mistake with this headphone, I hear more EDM and Pop but since I'm not a basshead I'm sure that this headphone will meet my needs more than well ... I hope so.
