Sennheiser HD280: Do you like or not?

They're designed for the professional environment, folks. Just like most of you would not like any professional nearfield monitors to casually listen to music, and just like people who work in pro audio would not mix with a set of Bose speakers either (the HD280 Pro does not provide a "hyped" response, they are more neutral and help hear things happening in the middle to upper frequencies as someone above already mentioned).



I've enjoyed almost every studio monitor setup I've heard for music listening, particularly Tannoys. The HD280 soesn't even begin to approximate that sort of sound.

DT150 is a better studio monitor imo.

I like them for studio purposes. I don't like them for listening to music. They are not bad, but they are not great either. Better cans can be had in that price range(IMO).

They were my first "expensive" headphones and I thought they were amazing. I was really happy with them until I upgraded. To the average consumer these are great for anyone looking for high quality phones. Great for the price.
