I couldn't find a thread about modding these headphones, so I thought I'd start one.
Mods I'm aware of:
1) Replace cable with one from a HD-650 - better sound quality as the HD650 cable is copper instead of steel.
2) Replace earpads with velour ones. Increased comfort, reduced sound quality (apparently). I have yet to try this.
3) Single sided cable mod (a la hd25). Take both cups off the headband and flip them so the cables come out the top instead of the bottom. Run the cables over to one side and tape/ziptie them to the headband. It's hard to describe so I can get pics if anyone want them as (as I made this mod up myself).
Anyone know of any more? I'm particularly interested in having some sort of foam on the headband to increase comfort.
