Sennheiser HD-595 good for starters?

I have the HD-595, and I love metal.

I found that with good amplification (I have recently bought a Solo), they become much speedier, punchier and livelier with this kind of music.

Before using the Solo, some metal tracks could be a bit muddy, with the notes jellying together. Now they have become much more transparent and snappy.

At least this is my experience with Metallica, Opeth, Queensryche and Dream Theater.
