I have finally narrowed my choices down to these two, but am stuck to decide between them. Both are within budget (although the AKG's are much cheaper), and I will use them for my iPod (predominantly hip hop music) to use on the streets, train, library, etc.

Which would you recommend?

I would love to hear freom people who have used both of these to give me their opinions...

The K81 DJ would be ideal with a shorter cord. Its not the most comfortable being supra-aural, and lacking a padded headband... but its sound is quite nice. Add the Denon D1000 to the list of closed headphones in this price range for your application.
