Anyone have these and like 'em? I did some reading and took a couple recommendations from here too. Boiled down to a couple models and this one sits at top right now. Would there be another model that would compare or beat this particular model out? Price range is not a problem. I like the size of these, they aren't real huge. Might just try them out.

Also they are 70 ohm. I do not use an amp and would not want to use an amp. Too much to carry around seriously. I think Senn really makes too many models. I wonder how many of their phones have the same drivers in them and cost huge differences.

These are great cans indeed. The main competitors are ESW9 and ESW10 (if price really ain't an issue), IMO, but even those fail at isolation relative to HD25.

Perhaps you should take a look at the HD25-1 II appreciation thread. Lots of people have 'em and like 'em. The HD25 are Sennheiser's top-of-the-line supraaural portable and they are darn good. They don't need an amp IMO.
