They have replaced them with the IE300 which has the smaller driver. These are no good because the sound is too small coming from the smaller driver. The IE 8 models also had a special kevlar cable which produces are far superior sound (this includes the IE 8i cable). These headphones and cables are no joke. The sound from them is really special that I need to get them back. Currently I have a IE 80 S with the IE 8i cable but it may bust soon. It beats the sony Ex1000 and I'm really happy listening to them. It has a spacey fabric sound that is needing to exist in the marketplace....
