If one could get this beastie for ~$50US, would it be worth it?

Not thinking of getting one myself, just asking for someone else

I paid $30 + shipping for mine and I feel it was not worth the price. The surround effect is minimal, and if you want to use it as a headphone amp it's really bad. Build quality is excellent, but that's it. Some people like it though. Do a search and you'll find more - there have been a few posts recently but I forget where (amps or accesories?).

I think I read the DSP Pro offers a few more features, for about the same price, but should solely be considered for use with movies only.
