Hi everyone,
I have recently recently lost my cx-500 earphones, and decided to get the cx380, as i will usually use it in more active situations (cycling, gym etc).
i got them through ebay from hong-kong (have no idea if this is in anyway relevant)
I also have the HD-280 which i love, so i might say im used to a certain level performance.
the problem is that the 380 i have kinda suck out of the box, the mid range is just awful and the singers seem to be stuck in a box.
i spent a good 10 minutes tweaking my mp3 player equlizer, bringing the mid range almost all the way down, and upping the 2 right bars. I was able to make the sound quality reasonable, something i'd probably get used to over time, and not the quality im used to from sennheiser. I also tried 2 different sizes, and while the medium sized had more bass, the mid-range there was no fixable.
so, my question is, has anybody else seen these issues with these earphones, or was I just unlucky to get a bad pair (I guess theres always a slight chance they're fake, but it looks perfect).
any advice?
Thanks
Edan
