I'm considering buying them for about $50. Are they good headphones in general and are they good the the price?

you could prolly find it around $30 area. and they are pretty good for it's price if you like bass.

Yeah, not a bad option - you could do worse.

$50 is a good price if you're in Australia.

There are a lot of fake ones on ebay! So I would stay away from ebay. They are nice little phones for the money though.

Consider Ultimate Ears super.fi 3 for $60 as well.

+1 on that comment. Once I installed the larger inserts to get a tight fit, the bass was almost overwhelming. I actually had to turn the bass down w/ the EQ on my Creative Vision:M when using these buds. However, I do like the sound and isolation. Great deal for $50 IMO.
