Is there any differences between the MX300s and the MX500s in terms of sound quality?

Just wondering... I'm not planning on buying anything. Just wondering how the MX300s that come with the SlimX2 (IMP-400) compare to the 500s.

Although I haven't heard the mx300s, it is said that the mx500s are a few notches above the mx300s in sound quality. I think the reason they are bundled with the slimx is some sort of OEM supply type thing. . .

Correct me if I'm wrong.

The MX300 is indeed "a few notches down" from the MX500 in sound.

The SlimX earbuds may or may not be the MX300. Sharp and Kenwood both have a bunch of stock earbuds that share the exact same housing, but every one of them that I've heard sound very different from the MX3/4/500.

Thanks, and btw, the *newer* SlimX comes with the MX300s. They specifically said that on the official iRiver site.
