which of them are better? or at this price range are there any other suggestions? would glad to hear..
and would my audigy 4 se be able to "push" them?

I'd get the Grado SR80, or for 5 dollars more the Grado/Alessandro MS1. I found the HD555 to be quite boring, and prefer the Grado sound.

The HD555 is more comfortable with a larger soundstage and bass extension. The SR80 has more detailed treble and is more punchy / energetic. Which do you prefer?

Grado for music and the 555 for Movies and games.

The SR-80 sounds nice as far as things go, but the Grado sound is very aggressive and is not for everyone. I find it quite fatiguing.

I'm currently trying to trade my SR-80 for an HD555, but I haven't heard the 555 yet

I'll take the 555 for a more refine sound. The MS1 will be another good alternative.
