I may be getting either the HD280 or the 555, depends on how the next few days pay off
anywho, I got an older pengamp, would it power the 555 well? Pretty sure it's the delux model. I tested them on my old ATHes7s and they made them sound muddish, decreased the quality and bass by a significant margin. Is that because they don't need a driver? Will this amp make the 555s sound nicer through an mp3 player?
