I've been searching the threads lately looking for a good 50-100$ closed headphone. I've narrowed them down to the HD280, HD 438, and HD515.
Can anyone (from experience) be able to compare these 3? Right now I'm leaning for the HD 438. I like it's detachable cable design (I've had issues in the past with a lot of broken cables), and it's flatter response over the 448 and 428 which lack in bass. I listen to just about everything, and I'm using my phone for portable listening and my M-Audio firewire solo recording interface for my sound card when I listen to music at home.
I'm looking for the phone with most clarity and most sound stage. I'm not a bass head, but I want to be able to really feel the really low kicks like in "Low" by Flo Rida (I don't really listen to him, but that's the best example I can think of).
I've seen these compared to others, but not so much compared to each other.
