I just received two pairs of Senn CX300 from an internet store that to my knowledge should be a trusted UK based store.

I got a white pair for myself and a pink one for my gf.

The white one has the old type of "lighter" packaging and everything seems to be fine with it, the cable is asymmetrical and of the right lenght.

However the pink ones for my gf came in the new more heavily packed package which also showcases the tips.
In the back of this package it has an icon that says "symmetrical cables" instead of asymmetrical which I always thought all the cx300's would be and as my white ones indeed are.

And after opening the case, the cable indeed is symmetrical.

So, after hearing so much about the CX300 fakes moving around. I thought I'd ask the people around here:

- Has anyone else seen CX300 with symmetrical cables around?
- Has anyone else got the pink ones with asymmetrical cables?
- Any idea if Sennheiser has changed the cabling of the cx300 into symmetrical for a certain/latest patch of production?

Aside from the type of the cables there is nothing to put me off from thinking the phones are authentic:

- The packaging is exactly as it should be.
- The drivers look like the ones there should be in the CX300.
- The cable lenght of my white one is exactly as described by sennheiser.
- Angled plug.

dont worry what you got are genuine. the pink cx300 is the only symmetric cx300 made
