Fresh out of the box and I'm SOO impressed. I tried AKG 701 before but found them somewhat lifeless and analytical.

These cans just rock in every single way

That's all I can say right now. I have very limited experience when it comes to high end audio things but I can honestly say they are worth every euro I paid for them.

and if they become even better after burn in I,ll surely be in audio heaven ... oops I think I'm already there

Congrats on the 650. Wow is just how I felt when I took my new 650 out of the box and had my first listen to them. I didn't feel the need for any burn in and have just used the 650 for all my music listening. The 650 has even made my rig sound much better than any other headphone to date and I have owned lots of them.

What do you think of the veil?

That depends on what you mean by "veil".

Any way, I've never heard a Senn, so I'm just joking around. Truthfully, all of this talk of veils makes me want to order a 650 myself, just to see.

The 650's are probably one of the best bargains out there right now. Enjoy them, and don't forget they scale really well wtih expensive equipment

Congrats!

I thought mine were pretty good right outta the box as well... although, I did find that the sound 'loosened up' with some burn-in. If you love them now, you'll never want to take them off after some burn-in.

Happy listening

LOL. Oh I have officially become a two headphone member now. I think I have two headphones that I will be keeping for the first time.

We should have some at the next Atlanta/GA meet.

I agree the Senns are more musical than the analytical K701's. Enjoy!

If you amp them properly, there won't be any veil.
