Senn 595 120 or 50 ohms?

Hi! Just a quick question--I have read in a few threads that the 595 is now 50 ohms. Have you seen any US dealer with this? The ones I contacted had 120, and had not heard of any change. Thanks!

I think you need to wait some time for them to deplete the older stocks, since 50 ohms are the newer release.

A bit off topic: If you plan to use them at home then 120 ohms shouldn't be any problem. Also one headfier compared both models and preferred the older 120 ohm - although that may be caused by different burn-in periods.

I bought a pair of HD555s off of eBay that was 50 ohms. I emailed him to check before purchase, and he told me that the 555 and 595 he stocks are 50 ohms (his 515 stock is 120 ohms).

Since I did not purchase the 595, I cannot verify whether or not his claim is true. You might want to try contacting him yourself. Here's a link to his sale.
