I'd like a shorter cable in lieu of the 20 footer than came with my hd 497. They make?
senn 497 replacement cable?

I suppose you could just cut your current cable to the appropriate length and resolder the plug.

Rather than posting a new thread i'll just use this one. Anyway, so my HD-497 cable (right channel) broke and I am in need of a new cable. I got my PX-100 to tide me over till then, but do I just e-mail sennheiser for new ones? Can I get better cables? I'm not very good at do-it-yourself stuff as I like the "plug n play" style of the senn cord. Any suggestions?

Ah, ive found them on sennheisers site. $7.95 US. Not bad. Still any suggestions for better cables?
