Hey guys,
 
I have limited down my research down to these three headphones. These will be used for gaming! I have an MSI M7 motherboard, but I don't have an external amp (I could buy one though). Which of these three would you recommend and why? Is there something better in that under $200 range?

AKG K612 need A LOT of power. 0.99mW to reach 90dB SPL.
 
DT990 will also need an amp.
 
Sennheiser HD558 is your best option if you aren't buying an amplifier. Philips SHP9500 is also a good option.

I started a similar thread, but it wasnt for gaming and it was a pretty overwhelming conclusion that the AKG K612 Pro's are the best under $200 headphone on the market.

Sorry for the late replies guys - so it seems like the Senheissers are the way to go...the AKG's need to be amped...which isn't a big deal to me...
