so, i'm pretty happy with both of these headphones. but of course, after reading around on the forums..i've come to find there's so much more out there. i just bought an iAudio M3 and a PA2v2 and i want some new phones that will really benefit from the amp.

to get an idea of my music tastes, some of what i'm most interested in from more to less: the beatles, radiohead, rage against the machine, muse. a fairly wide array i assume.

so considering what i could get selling both of these headphones combined..(160-190?) plus about 50 bucks..what should i go for? i'm open to trying IEM's, open or sealed.

thanks in advance.

Well, pick which one you like better. If you prefer the SR-80, go for the SR-225 or something similar. If you prefer the HD 555, HD 595 or 600 seem to be logical choices.

well, i like both of them..but for different reasons. the SR60's tend to get a bit uncomfortable after a while. i have modded 414 pads. any idea other ideas?

HD600 or HD650.

Radiohead is *incredible* imo on amped HD600s. They're great at portraying the vocals; I love listening to OK Computer on these - it's not depressing because you're just sitting there with a huge grin on your face thinking your phones are great

Haven't heard HD650s yet - they're on their way!

Go for Beyer 880 or Grado 325.

I'm still not able to make Senn HD580 play rock the way they should (and SR-60 does), and my Radiohead recordings keep complaining. Even $20 HD201 does it better...in a way. So you might want to skip Senn 580/600/650 line.
