So I got a Technics SL-DD33 used for $25 bucks. However, a ground was not included. The ground input on my Onkyo Integrated is your standard Y "looking" ground but the turntable's ground connection is different. Not sure how to explain it perfectly, but it's circular with a diameter slightly bigger than a stereo mini jack and it has 1 pin in the middle.

Please help, this is my first dive into vinyl. I have over 60 vinyl albums that all have an annoying hum accompanying the beautiful jazz!!!

Attach a wire to any metal part on the chassis underneath the turntable. Loosen a screw and stick a wire under it. That should work.

See ya

Thanks for the advice. This baby is not exactly an audiophile unit. Therefore, there is very little metal on it. I tried, unsuccessfully, the unscrew the screws to no avail. Instead, I used to tiny speaker wire (prob. 24 AWG) and just crammed it into the the hole on the turntable. It's pretty ghetto. The tiniest little tug would dislodge it.

BUT, Take 5 is now playing with no hum and it sounds great!!
