I would love to start organizing some type of meet up in the area. If we could get a few people together. I have no idea how these go. I just know that the only way I talk to people that know about any of this gear is at canjams.

Well shoot I'm in spanaway and I'd LOVE a meet. I've never been to one, so I don't really know what a meet looks like - but I do know you can reserve large meeting rooms in any of the pierce county libraries for free. They come with tables and chairs, and it's a nice isolated quiet environment.

That's a good starting point, no? I could just schedule a date somewhere and people could show up with some gear to try?

Oh yeah, I had not thought of the library. That is a good idea. I have not participated in a meet up either and I thought one could be cool as I only ever see other audiophiles at like canjam. I have some equipment I could bring.

Just moved to Seattle-Ravenna myself (retiring and moved to be with child/grandchild)
Renting till mid year when we find a house (audio system in storage until then)

Awhile back I looked into audio in this area. Unlike Mobile, AL, there are several audio brick and mortar stores here.

There is a formal audio group here : Pacific Northwest Audio Society

Thanks! I had no idea there was a group in the Seattle area.
