amm it's for my iPod video 5.0G(maybe i will buy the new gen 160GB version )

i have no amp at the moment
my current headphones was the Icans i just love them but it's time for a new set

Grado SR-225

They are awesome and they don't really need an amp

They are really good for rock and pop.

HD 555 or 595 are good cans without the use of an amp.

Definitely consider Audio Technica AD900's you can get them for around $236 shipped from Audiocubes.They sound perfect for you,They sound amazing without the need of extra amplification (that might make them sound slightly better ).

I personally prefer Audio-Technica's AD900, because of its excessive clarity and apt, compressed bass!

I had Audio-Technica AD900 for about 10 months before,

and one of my audiophile friends has SR-225.

In my opinion, Grado was a little bit stuffy and too rich

ammm so the Audio-Technica AD900 has more balanced sound and the SR-225 has richer sound but it is stuffy. are there other headphones i should consider?
