Hello.

Looking for some knowledgeable help.

I'm coming from ie7. (so i guess any option is going to be a step forward)
Love dnb/dubstep but also other things.

Main differences/which is better of these 4? (not price-wise)

-sennheiser ie800
-westone UM3X
-shure 535
-Sony MDR ex1000
--------------
Thank you.

Since you sent me a message for my IE800 allow me to answer you honnestly . I know 2 of them: 535 & IE800.

- 535 is a warm IEM I personally liked a bit. Rather mid centric with vocals pushed forward. I would just bass are Ok but not that good compared to what is on the market now. Intimate sounding .Very confortable and good isolation. Cable over ears only. MSRP too high vs the market today (500). I would be ok for 250 max if we aim this kind of sound. I feel ATH IM04 or Campfire Nova are much better than 535 for USD500 in the same sound signature.

- IE800 : quite the opposite as 535. Slightly V sounding with strong & impactful bass. Mids are very slightly recessed but still clear & articulate. Pretty laid back sounding with very large sounstage , more width than depth.  Very comfortable as tiny & lightweight.
MSRP too high vs the market today (700) . I feel 400/450 would be a better price for them new because a high end dynamic driver is still rare versus multi ba or hybrid

Coming from IE7 & loving dubstep --> IE800
:)
