So I’m looking for some vacuum tubes for my Little-Dot. I go on ebay, start doing searches for all the compatible model numbers, ef92, w77, 6cq6, cv4015, m8161, etc. Each time coming back with zero results or maybe one or two obscure results.

Then I was sent a link to this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...0494&rd=1&rd=1

Pretty much exactly what I was looking for, but the title of that Item contains not one, but two of the exact terms I searched for and neither time did that auction come up in the search listing.

That’s pretty infuriating, and makes me wonder how many other auctions out there apparently aren’t coming up every time I do a search. Is there something I need to do other than simply go to ebay.com and enter in search terms to have it search everything and not just some random subset that never seems to include what I’m looking for?

Hi there

If you do a search for m8161 nothing comes up unless you do a search 'Worldwide'.

I always do this looking for tubes as postage on these is usually very small. I got 4 EL34 big bottled Electo-Harms for £8.30ish post from USA.

Also try a multiple search using this string in your search line (ef92,w77,6cq6,cv4015,m8161) this lists 59 items with 20 for tubes.

regards
Neil

x2.

1. Put search terms in parentheses separated by commas but no spaces.

2. For location, search "worldwide"

3. Narrow by category. In this case, "consumer electronics"
