Background------I am 70 years old----In my headphone journey I purchased a Sony cd-3000 and a Monster inner ear Miles Davis copper. I have a iBassO d-10 cobra. That is hooked into a Apple I-mac.
Can the iBasso drive the above two phones to some degree of satisfaction? Which is more pleasing to older ears. God knows living on a farm, the machinery noise and benchrest shooting must have taken a toll on my ears.
Should I plan on an another dac/amp such as the new Oppo or a little dot mark 6 or 8? A portable is " NOT " necessary. All listening is at my desk.
As you can see the Sony's lasted for 15 years or and I gave the warranty Miles Davis replacement to my son. I need a new headphone , no inner ear needed.
This hopefully will be my last hurrah in the audio headphone search.
Any thoughts suggestions would be appreciated.
