New? If not, filters may be dirty. Their response up to 10k is good but roll after. It's enough extension where it should never sound muffled.

Yeah, I created this post 6 years ago, but I can tell you guys what happened. I got scammed with those se535. They were fake. It seems that they had the same driver, but the fit wasn't the correct one. Ended up buying a genuine pair and they were great!
