Hey folks,

So I'm looking for IEMs for studio monitoring, DJing, and casual listening. Bass is important, but true sound is also important. Isolation is VERY important as I ride the subway every day.

I've tried the Etymotic Er6is and the Shure SE210s and they were just way too bassless for me. I've tried the V-Moda Vibes and they're okay, but the bass is way too muddy and the isolation is nearly nonexistent.

So I've done a bit of research, and I've narrowed it down to the Shure SCL4, Shure SE310s, or the Atrio M5s.

Does anyone have any advice for me?

Atrio M5.
I own the SCL4 and owned the SE310. Both have quality bass. Not a large quantity. The SE310 a little more than the SCL4, but both no match for the Atrio M5.

Does the Atrio match up in terms of clarity?

Well, can't comment on that to be honest. I only head them for about 5 minutes.
But from what I recall, in terms of clarity Shure had the upper hand.
Overall, the M5 was much more fun sounding.

Were the Shures very cold?

Compared to the Atrio's.. Yes!
But on their own, they are are nice sounding IEM's, but just not big on the bass

You will APPRECIATE the analytical ability and depth of the shures as well as the soundstage

However you will LOVE the artio's

owned e5c and atrio

Also you never get sick of their full bodied sound and they never give you a headache.
