New Head-Fier
Hi all. I posted this on another forum, but head-fi seems like the better place to get answers...
I just bought the Schiit Modi 2 + Magni 3 for a new set of headphones. I also bought the Mackie MR524 and MRS10 sub (I produce/mix music).
Currently I have the gear set up as such:
PC > Modi 2 DAC > Magni 3 preout > Mackie Big Knob Passive > MRS10 Sub > MR524 Speakers
Is there a better way to set this up? Right now, if I turn up the volume on the Big Knob, it turns up the volume of everything (speakers and sub) but I'd like to adjust volume for the sub and speakers separately without having to go to the rear of the units and adjust the knobs.
My concern is that if I connect the MR524s directly to the Big Knob or another volume controller, I will lose the benefit of the built in crossover with the matched MRS10 sub.
