New gear day….

This thing is a behemoth on the desktop. I can also feel the vibration after use.

Replacing a Lyr+ with a Mjolnir 3. Hope that I made the right choice. Now I want to upgrade the DAC.

Gungnir 2 is a perfect fit with the Mjolnir 3. I think I may be at my terminal wish list. Fantastic sound. You don't want to go to bed to listen to a few more songs.

My only question, should I add a Freya +F for the tube goodness?

I'm in the same conundrum brother. I really want the Lokius max but good lord it's the same price as the Gungnir 2. I look at it in the cart every day

Don’t think my wallet can handle a new pair of headphones, amp, and dac all at once. I’ll probably get a G2 eventually. I’m also interested in seeing what the Valhalla 3 will be like.

Mojo 2 is my “portable” amp/dac. I am wanting to pair MJ3 with a desktop DAC.

You might want to read up on Topping Centaurus, it is using a Holo Audio R2R board.

Just get a Gungnir 2. It’s a perfect match for the MJ3 and arguably Schiit’s best DAC currently.

Well, figured I'd get everyone in the loopbin case it helps out. Got an outlet tester, my upstairs is all open ground on the outlets. Mj3 has been unplugged, and I'm waiting for the electrician from our landlord hopefully soon. Crossing my fingers that she's beastly enough to have taken no damage. I'm now pretty sure I was getting more issues in the LT channel because my rack is on my left side that had many ungrounded hifi components. This is further proved by the very frequent dusting to find just an hour later interesting dust designs forming on random spots on my hifi rack. Today will be a return to the dongle until we get it fixed

UPDATE:
Electrician grounded the line....all problems stopped.

Been trying to temper expectations regarding MJ3 in other threads when people make blanket statements like it is "the best option" to other users. I do love my MJ3, but I don't want to lead other users on the wrong upgrade path (for them). DAC and Headphone pairings plus personal preferences regarding sound signature will dictate the outcome (too many variables). Nothing worse than joining a hype train and getting disappointed when a product arrives (been there done that ). Even Jason of Schiit Audio states that this is not the amp for everyone. Listening to my SJY Audio Starry Night V1 (first run) on my MJ3 while typing this, .

Okay Enough Preaching, Happy Listening!

Anyone out there with Atrium Open running off of MJ3? Double especially if the dac is Yggy MiB? Although honestly I have zero problem just trucking on with my Meze Elites, the synergy is undeniable.

I would love to try a dynamic driver with this stack. Just can't leave well enough alone? LOL

I have an Atrium Open with a MJ3 and Gungnir 2 stack. Have only had this setup for less than 2 weeks though. I’ve read that the Atrium really benefits from a tube amp, but I can say that it sounds great with the MJ3 so far. It’s the best sounding setup I’ve ever had. Excellent timbre and musicality. I’m hearing things in songs I’ve never heard before. I don’t know how a tube amp can improve but I’m interested in testing it out at some point.

MJ3 and Yggdrasil MIB here and it sounds great on my end paired with my Atrium Open. I don't have an OTL Tube Amp yet for a direct comparison, but I will be purchasing a Valhalla 3 to complement my MJ3 once it becomes available.
