S17 is 16v so it's a little bit less powerful than the MJ3 to not really be that significant, ON PAPER AT LEAST.I didn't try the aune so can't say on it but out of the amps i had Burson Soloist 3xp Vio V222 Felix Euphoria and Vio V281 the Schiit Mjolnir 3 Is the One for me

What are your speakers? They look a bit like Vandersteens or Decwares.......
Running a Pioneer DVD-V7400 industrial dvd transport into a Musical Fidelity M1 DAC (modified to Liquid Audio mods-diy) balanced into MJ3 to LCD-2 (originals updated to Fazor status). Also have a CCA running into the DAC via optical streaming Spotify.
...
Any plans to try MJ3 as a preamp for your 2ch setup?

Chapman T-7's.
I'm currently trying to figure out how I can keep my tube pre in the chain. I don't like the idea of splitters or switch boxes on the RCA outputs. With the Gustard I had it running off the tape outs. But that is such a waste to have to turn on the pre and light up the tubes just to run the relay switching when the tape output is before the tubes anyway.

You mean something like tube to MJ3 to amps, with the MJ3 full volume to act as passthrough? (dunno if that would work, just wondering the chain you're building)

No, thinking more parallel rather than series setup.
I.e., tube pre to either headphone amp or speaker amps, with minimal additional components or connections. Not sure how I'll make it work yet.
The system as pictured currently has the M1 DAC (supporting either CD transport or CCA) and vinyl through a Hagerman tube phono. I was just given an Allo DigiOne to play with (possibly purchase) and I want to add back my Nak CR-7a tape deck. The preamp will support all of that no problem.
I may have to just suck it up and put an RCA switchbox at the preamp's output. Or, I might try an experiment with a y-splitter and see if having both the speaker amp and the MJ3 on a live output in parallel presents any problems. If it doesn't present impedance issues or ground loops I can just add a 2nd set of parallel RCA's to the output of the preamp. Then it would just be a simple matter of turning on whichever component (amp) I choose to listen to.

Ok, something like a Sys without the volume control. They say the volume control at max is pretty transparent....

For anynoye based in the US Just saw on the Headphones Gear for sale an FB group page that someone is selling his Mjolnir 3 It has some scratch on the bottom and the dog ate the manual but if you don't want to wait you could negotiate on the price. https://www.facebook.com/groups/192226728036104/permalink/1454693038456127/

So, after all this fun, Iām just wondering - is there common consensus that MJ3 is currently the best headamp under 1500, or is it still āit dependsā? I already have an order and made the decision, but I donāt want to play that game to try and change.
The problem is I canāt test it before buy. Itās the same with things like Violectric, Flux or whatever. Here where I am, nothing can be tested, just ordered (thanks for that at least).
