Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread

I have bad news, now my MJ3's left channel not working. Swapped out the MJ3 for Jot2 and everything works as expected. So it's definitely the MJ3. Will retry the MJ3 again later to see if left channel comes back on. But I have a bad feeling about this.

Usually new products will have higher failure rate in their first couple of batches, but we had no choice since there will probably be only one batch.
Well, the 5 year warranty means they have the parts to fix it for you, for up to 5 years.

Hasn’t a second batch been verified? I know a 230V version is going to be made. Will a second batch of 115V be produced for sure?
Well. The bad units are still on their way back. They need to figure out what was causing it.

It's not so cheap to send it back to Schiit from Canada :)
Yeah, or Europe. Maybe Schiit needs to create a "licensed technician" program.

I guess there's always SONORITY in the Netherlands, the Europe distributor. They're selling the 115v version at present, from what I could tell. Maybe they will have 230v when (if) available.

So I tried again last night and MJ3 still had no sound from the left channel. Will need to get it RMA'd.

I was in contact with Sonority and they did say they were expecting some 230v units to be delivered in a number of weeks. Unfortunately they don't ship to the UK.
Ah, for UK it will have to be Electromod ... bought Schiit off them before Brexit.

Unfortunately, I had already spoken to Electromod and they don't stock limited run units. Another fantastic benefit of Brexit.
Best I don't mention the "B" word further, else I'll get into trouble !

From what I'm hearing, is this still a 'limited run' product ? It seems to be selling like 'hot cakes' !! ... time will tell.

I've been thinking about what Schiit might come up with that they haven't done before ... a portable DAC/AMP I would appreciate ... something like the Chord MOJO 2, but different.

Or is that too market saturated ... or is mobile 'not their thing' ?
