Got mine today, the sound is definitely better than the Lake People G111 MK2 that I have been using for the last several months. More details, depth, sparkles, blackground, and not harsh at all. One of the best parts is more rhythm and stronger hitting bass. Bass in songs that move up and down at the various frequencies are more well defined and give songs better musicality and structure. The MJ3 is like a velvet hammer, you just feel more, there is no mistaking that it is a very good amp.
However, it did warm up my little 10X10 listening room a fair amount, I like that room cold and not a fan of the warming effect. But, I knew that going in, it is not a deal breaker. Finally, it took my LCD-2C's to another level, turning them from a bit dark to having more treble bits. I hope to get something like Dan Clark E3 to finish out this new setup, and that will be it for me for a while.

How long is the average wait time people are experiencing before their mj3 ships?
Listening to the Reflector album, I don’t even recognize my LCD2C, details and bass oh my! This thing is next level
Turned on the AC and put a fan on it, chased the warmth out pretty well50W is 170 BTU/hour, which is hardly anything...

They are pretty fast, just a few days
Eventually I'll try a set of pre fazor LCD2. speakers for now.
So far the MJ3 is not any hotter than my Freya+

So, the MJ3 is a balanced amplifier, but it sounds better on an unbalanced headphone output? I understand correctly?

SE Class A does not refer to the use of the unbalanced headphone output (or input for that matter). From the manual:
“Final note: "single-ended" in the context of Class A does not refer to the balanced or SE inputs. You can have a balanced differential gain stage that runs a single-ended Class A output stage. Yes, we know, engineering sucks and is sometimes confusing.”

For those who have their MJ3 in between their DAC and preamplifier, do you have any impressions on how it sounds using loudspeakers?
