A little bleary from the Friday night lights in Denver, good end to a great evening that started with a Cavs win (not an Indiana game this time), followed by a heck of a Nuggets win.

Flooding continued over-night, it’s not too bad, small puddles over maybe 150 square feet. It’s way slower this AM thankfully, just did 20 gallons to “catch up”. Rain has stopped, so it won’t be much longer. For those who’ve been here it’s the area immediately under my suspended power amp and back into that corner. Thankfully didn’t get into the wine cellar
I'm sorry to hear that. My parents house cellar was flooded several times. Last time was about 4 or 5 years ago. Just 5cm but unfortunately many items had contact with the floor...

I remember that last incident particularly well because it was a nice summer day and I was on a bike trip visiting them. There were some dark clouds on the sky and I was like "little rain can't hurt". Luckily they didn't live on the street where I entered town. Each time one of my pedals were in the lower position the shoe was completly submerged.

Since I was already soaking wet when I arrived, I didn't hesitate to enter the well next to the house to get the backup pump running again and prevent further flooding.

Yeah I’ve had worse. Late house in Mass (2004-2018) had a big finished room in basement: my man cave with stereo and records. THAT was an issue and mess. Put in a big dedicated sump pump. House before that in Southborough came with a sump pump that we didn’t know about. It was plumbed to output into the septic system, a HUGE bug. We had early leach field failure and that cost $40k because #Massachusetts.

Always something. Will be contracting soon for a sump to be put in.

Just found out from our local nursery that we’ve had 8” (20cm) of rainfall over last 8 days. Streams are a humpin’ that’s for sure.

Nope. Very fair price as long as the inner stiffener and rice paper sleeve are included.
They are. She also has a Dark Side of the Moon but did not bring that one out. Depending on version it could be worth big bucks.

There's that. I was thinking specifically of ensuring that the contractor doing work is a licensed professional.
I had a home that was clearly "upgraded" by a "cousin of a cousin" on the cheap....

And...it's here (the Valhalla 3). I was beginning to think it was lost (no tracking updates for four days).
