I always use a Diskwasher for early cleaning and like you I clean further if need be.I hit them with a brush, but only break out the Record Doctor if they have issues with playback.

I wash them with an ultrasonic cleaner and place in new MoFi inner sleeves before playing.Quick question for the vinyl folks here. Do you clean your brand new unopened records before playing them or do you just play them straight out of the wrapper?
Maybe a get together including tacos and margaritas at the factory.Any special plans to help celebrate the momentous event?
I clean them all. There is residue to prove it is effective… and it gets rid of static!Quick question for the vinyl folks here. Do you clean your brand new unopened records before playing them or do you just play them straight out of the wrapper?
Always. Left overs from manufacturing on many, dust, other crud. No way I was putting my Koetsu down on uncleaned vinyl. VPI 17F.Quick question for the vinyl folks here. Do you clean your brand new unopened records before playing them or do you just play them straight out of the wrapper?
I think the key when Schiit, etc., talk about the Baskin Robbins approach to flavors is that when we experiment with different pieces of audio tech, it's all about how they perform in the chain with all of our other gear (speakers, headphones, cables). Even if we all wanted the same "perfect" sound, I might favor a different DAC or preamp because it works better in the chain with my other equipment. We all swap in/out different gear (or tubes) looking for the right mix. This is a surprisingly sane approach to audio. There is so much FOMO and angst among us audiophiles to chase the best sound, whatever that is. The problem, of course, is that everyone hears things a little differently, so there can never be one true perfect thing (well, besides @Paladin79's Melz 1578s that is). The one thing Schiit has consistently done right, IMHO, is not to insist that one approach or design is the perfect one for all or sounds the best. They've certainly said that a particular approach/design is their preferred one, and have clearly explained why they do what they do.
Always wet clean/vacuum them. Always. And put them in a premium sleeve.Quick question for the vinyl folks here. Do you clean your brand new unopened records before playing them or do you just play them straight out of the wrapper?
Most Schiit thing ever would be an anniversary sale. And our 15th anniversary is...very soon now.

That was easy.Looking for advice regarding the Byggy decisions. I have a Yggy+ GS2 that I upgraded with A2 boards. Total costs was 1699 + 550 (A2) = $2300
- If I upgrade to Singular package + 1500 = 3800
- Buy new 3000....sell Yggy with A1 and A2 boards
Looks like I already talked myself into a new. How much would a Yggy+ GS2 with A1 and A2 boards fetch aftermarket?
Thank you
Digital preamp: A bit more convenient, maybe.I am wondering if the new FB implementations are going to cannibalize Schiit's preamp sales.

Yes, I agree. The more I’m in this “hobby” the more I realize it’s about synergy and personal preference. Some chase ultimate sound, others flexibility. That’s one reason I enjoy tube preamp/amps, because it does both. Gives you the best sound, and it’s easy to change tubes to tailor it to how you want it.it's all about how they perform in the chain with all of our other gear (speakers, headphones, cables).
