I am afraid that Android will never happen and it makes it difficult to invest into the ecosystem if that's where all their cool new stuff is going to be. The early reviews of Forkbeard aren't great and give the impression they are struggling with getting the iPhone app to work correctly with their USB dongle. They'll then need to hire and/or gain expertise in Android to go through that process all over again. Worse yet, if only a small fraction of their buyers have Android devices they might never make the investment and we'll be locked out of the ecosystem.
Personally, I use an old phone or iPad, because I don't want to deal with my phone phone after hours. You can make it a clean device and even turn off wifi entirely, and Forkbeard works just fine.
Also personally, I don't understand the fight between two different camps. I carry a Macbook Air an Microsoft Surface in my bag at all times, and I always have both an iPhone and an Android phone. Maybe I'm crazy.
All that said, Android development continues, if you want to wait.

I don't get it either. They're tools, not a religion. My primary phone is an iPhone, my burner phone for international travel is Android, I have Windows PC's (work, gaming, telescope control), a couple of Macs, a Linux laptop, a BSD PC, iPad, and an old Android tablet lying around somewhere....

No issues with any OS here, but I use Pixel 6 as my daily driver. I have a Macbook Air (14 year old model, yeah it is still kicking), a Windows 11 gaming PC I built, and I have dabbled with Linux in the past. I have an older iPad sitting around, and I guess I could dust it off and see if it still holds a charge.
A non audio engineer might imagine FB using the phone’s mic to give an option to automatically implement or recommend manual entry of a room correcting parametric eq curve. My Gungnir 2 is asking, not me.
