***Did you stop accepting cardboard as payment?*** Electronic payment is much too complicated and a young employee once told me only old people use checks.
Nope, not yet. Have spent most of my time since the move with unboxing and with working on that little project of mine that I'd like to get done sooner rather than later.
Maybe this weekend. Will keep my eyes peeled.
I know I'm not one to talk since I'm part of "the problem," but I'm curious how long this tiny little town can hold on to its small/old-town-y charm. It's definitely not set up to deal with a whole lot more cars; traffic on Herff, River, and Main is already pretty crazy no matter what time of day.
It’s going to be interesting for sure. When I moved to Austin 20 some odd years ago, going south on I35 towards San Antonio was basically empty space from about ten miles south of Austin, with a blip in San Marcos and another in New Braunfels until you hit the outskirts of San Antonio. Now the whole stretch is pretty much sprawl that reminds me some of the drive between LA and San Diego.
Austin is pretty much full, San Antonio is getting there, the infrastructure in central/south TX is designed for about a quarter of the current population and zoning isn’t really a thing, for better or worse.
I'm in the mood for some Pappy. If anyone would like to send me a bottle of Pappy 23, I might send them some nice tubes. Might. Some decisions are hard.
• The preposterous 'tubing' of Schiit Vali 3 with Telefunken 'medical grade, red tip' 12AU7 via adapter .... "It's alive!" [ .... ionospheric performance by Vali 3 in rendering ambience, spatial cues .... ]
