A fun, blues-y, spacious new jazz arrival. These guys are having a blast with the standard and new compositions!

From (long) memory: A2's bass is less well defined, and the mid-to-trebble zone a bit rougher. But otherwise, a great little amp, my first Schiit
Yep, that's about right! Things are a bit more congested spatially, bass a bit looser/slower, and there's a little haze/not as dark and clear of a background. But this will surely serve me well when I'm away from my desk, well until Valhalla 3 comes out of course.

EVs are all about insta-torque squeeze-n-gooooooooo!!!!!

And you'd want me to drive one sane?

EDIT: 'Most' being the current crop of performance-oriented EVs, not lame Nissan LEAFs. 😒
You play you pay. :)

Nice shoes.🤪 And some rainbow poplar in the foreground with just a hint of VU meters.😉 A cat and some Benadryl and life would be perfect.

Super comfy Skechers, my highly coveted Incubus, and a Monster power conditioner. 😁

Had to hook up my new (to me) Asgard 2 to the Yggy to compare the two Class A, no feedback siblings. Crazy how the little Asgard 2 holds a candle to it's much bigger, more expensive, younger brother. It falls just behind in a few areas, but otherwise, nothing to complain about without directly A/Bing like I am now. What a bargain this was back when this released in what, 2013?

Moved it to the bedside dresser and connected my trusty Mojo2 as a DAC (I should really grab a modi multibit or something) and now we're talking.

I am familiar with all three.😁 I would offer to change out the Incubus cabinet but most everything there is black and white.

Incubus should stand out and not be relegated to running with the B&W herd. I'm open dressing her up a bit more if you're serious. 😏

Yggy+ GS2 and Ragnarok 2 would be a damn good setup at a damn good price. (I own a Ragnarok 2 and have owned Yggy+ GS2.)

Ragnarok 2 is a bit more laid back than MJ3, but I haven't compared them directly recently enough to remember how they stack up in other qualities. I'll see if I can find time to compare tonight. I have them on a switch attached to an Yggy MIB.
I would appreciate current thoughts on MJ3 vs Rag 2... Like several of us here, I don't need it but it's tempting.

As a random aside, Ragnarok 2 could be an ideal match for Modhouse Tungsten, given its power needs.

Rag 2 is a STEAL at $999. Especially with the unofficial power bump to 75/110. 😯

Thank you! Another recent pickup. Just getting back into playing consistently and treated myself. Been playing the same made in Mexico Strat for 10 years. The new Tele is a recent Made in Japan model, by far the nicest playing and feeling Tele I've had my hands on, beating any Mexican and American Fender I demoed before buying. Think I got pretty lucky with the rosewood fingerboard as well.

@Jason Stoddard Which products from SCHITT® AUDIO™ have vacuum tubes, e.g. miniature twin triodes (9-pin), miniature power pentodes (7-pin), octal beam power tubes, &c.?

...

Now for something completely different. Thinking of getting some speaker cables. 8 or 9 feet long, and economical. Blue Jeans cables and Supra are on my short list. Thoughts or recommendations?
I'm partial to Pine Tree Audio's ribbons. I have both the Shadow and Rainbow. My impression is that the Shadow was slightly better.

My eldest, upon seeing the Rainbow, said, "If you hadn't told me what they were, I would have had no idea." :-D

Nice people over at Pine Tree. I asked them to make a trigger cable for my T+A Amp8 (which requires an RJ45 connector). Works great!
