Banner day at the Ripper residence. Clouds cleared allowing me and the fam to watch the eclipse to full totality. And the mailman delivered a small purchase a day early...

I gotta say - that was pretty cool!
Trying it soon.🤪

Ok we had amazing weather, the temperature dropped during the eclipse. Friends visited from Florida and we had a great time. Two dogs came along and Finnegan hung with them all day.IMG_7717.jpeg

Woohoo!!!! Clouds cleared out in time for the Full Solar Eclipse show! SPECTACULAR! The corona was AWESOME!!
:sunglasses:
Good job Ripper and family! Indelible memory for everyone. Was this your first totality?

Barely successful here but by driving from Kerrville west to Junction gave us the best shot.

Clouds obscured the first diamond ring and first couple minutes then a crystal clear parting in the clouds. Even saw Venus nearby.

This eclipse had the most solar prominence red of any we have seen. The amount naked eye red was as amazing as the corona in a way.

This was posted by a NASA photographer that was in Junction. Good representation of naked eye corona. Prominences are overexposed so can't be seen. Someone will make a killer composite of this one! :)

OK, eclipse is over. Time to get some Schiit done.

I’m running NAS based ripped CD digital music files through Audirvana and Qobuz through the app from my new Mac Mini Pro to the Yggdrasil GS2+ /Unison (using USB), MJ3, Meze Empy IIs.

Would I receive material sonic benefit if I bought a Cambridge Audio MXN10 or a WIIM Pro and hooked them up directly to my local network via Ethernet Cat 5? Either would have to go to Yggy with a coax cable or S/PDIF. This rig is only used for my headphne listening. I have some two channel gear in the living room that will need upgrading when I finish my headphone setup.

Thanks for opinions.

Yes. And it was incredible!

We live just north of Dallas and while it did not look promising most of the morning, we had a break in the clouds. While clouds would float in for a few seconds most clouds were kind enough to avoid obscuring the view for most of the event - especially the final 15% and onwards to totality.
