Speaking of buying a beer for the can art (that, and it's Moonraker who does great IPAs)...

Awesome Coneholio news! Shout out to the Modi 2 Uber. Spent a couple hours out on the porch with it and the Polks and after about ten years I still have no desire to upgrade any of it. Second shout out to my favorite blanco Tequila Ocho. I may rue the day I discovered this stuff as the two things in my life while drinking I’ve done that were fairly stupid involved tequila. The nose is incredible, lime and orange already there and I just had to try it neat and wow! I didn’t drink blanco’s neat but I do now. Amazing to me for $40.

Looks like the Plata and the Extra Añejo are available in Oregon from Tequila Ocho.

The owner of my favorite local shop is a huge tequila and mezcal fan and does two or three trips to Mexico each year to explore them.

I'll definitely check that out!

If you like Rush-like prog, check out these hugely talented Canadian unabashed Rush fans, who have been personally blessed by Alex Lifeson. Crown Lands:

Epic find, thanks!

A prog power DUO! Nice.

Bass cabs finished today. A pair of 6.5" two-ways will sit on top.
Once I load them up, I can work on the crossover that goes from the bass cabs up to the two-ways.

I love my AR LST's but I'm ready for something different to replace a pair of 50 year old speakers.

The Tyrs will really light these up!

To be continued...
Both cabs are stuffed, wired and ready for drivers

I picked this up yesterday. Musical references to Rush and Gentle Giant? It made my lil’ prog loving heart flutter!

What a cool album! I've heard of Brad Mehldau, but this was a total surprise. Definitely need to dive into his other releases since I wrongly pre-judged this as a jazz piano guy dabbles in some prog covers.

Speaking of rum (in album titles)...

Must confess I've never heard the album, but some of my favorite cover art ever.
(Does that make me shallow?)
Art by Rick Griffin. One of the great psychedelic poster artists from San Francisco, Rick did artwork for the Grateful Dead and family back in the day. Here's another example:

Based on your recommendation, I'm listening to this now. I was never much of a fusion fan, but this is fantastic. Seems to have been recorded exceptionally well as a bonus!

Thank

Thought I'd throw a little something upbeat to close-out the weekend. I mean with Ramsey Lewis and Grover Washington, Jr., it has to be good, right?

If you like that, you may like this...

And with that, a good night to you all. May the music fill you with joy and the eclipse tomorrow fill you with amazement!! (Assuming you are in the path).
