Great to see - Beyerdynamic DT880, 600 ohm

I upgraded to the 600 when I got the Pietus Maximus, and they synergize wonderfully. They're replacing a 250 ohm pair I've enjoyed for 12 years.

For a tube device what needs more break-in, the tube or the device?

Any LISST-like devices for the Vali3? I would love a glowing LISST with mini-VU meters to go with the Vali3!

They can... but the early 60s vintage 6N6P (upto '66) are much, much better than the 70s production. Don't ask me how I know or how many pairs it took to discover.

Y'all are killing me. I just bought a Flux Mentor so why tf do I want a Vali3 with a 396a in it ***?

1) It's inexpensive
2) It sounds awesome (at least my impression early on)
3) You'll sleep much better at night without the constant turmoil of a buy/not buy decision

I'm failing to see a negative here.

I am about to give up on my XDA2. Thinking of just using a Denon Integrated Amp for 'phones until I can make up my mind about the might be coming Valhalla3.

The Emotiva is getting worser and worser with having to hardboot it. It's been this way for years and the last time I got this upset with something I snapped and bent it in half down the middle. It was a new Blu Ray player. "SIGH"...

Oh yes. I went to the storage unit we have an liberated several pair of speakers and gave them to friends. I could not find any of my 3 vintage receiver to use, so I am thinking someone chucked them by "mistake". Yeah...That's it! By mistake...That's the ticket!
