Today I started a high dollar build, a few things like this allow me to treat friends to free items. That center portion is figured honey locust. The same board from which I built one of my personal headphone amps.

I worked with some RCA stereo gear in the early seventies at their factory. People I knew ended up with crates of it after it ceased being in production.
In 1968 I had a part time job at an RCA distributor in Albany, New York. They had this huge “His Master’s Voice” white dog statue on the roof. His collar said “Nipper.” I worked in the warehouse part doing inventory stuff. There were hundreds and hundreds of these skinny carboard box thingys full of tubes. My job was to log each box full of tubes for tax purposes. Before they threw them out.

I think of how much all that stuff would be worth now.

That is why we have "hospital grade" electrical devices-----designed to withstand the abuse and neglect of working reliably in a severe environment i. e. , a hospital, @ripper2860's listening room, etc.
FTFY.

Yeah… the objective tests are biologic measurements like kidney and liver function… sure… those were done and correlated in real time precisely, no doubt {sarcasm}. Snake oil anyone?
Prefer eel oil, personally. Especially electric eel oil when infused in audio gear using peak marketing-speek and FOMO-mented misdirection. So tasty!

Ugh…

My Roon library is "only" 614 albums strong, yet I am experiencing a strong urge to throw out 90% of it because I barely listen to most of that anyway. The signal to noise ratio of my "My Library - Albums" screen is completely off the charts right now.
My Spotify 'Liked Songs' playlist currently has 4,384 tracks in it. I totally feel you.

Sure is fun to set it to random and let it rip for a few hours, though. Never know what's coming up next. Is it Electronic? Metal? Classical? Experimental noise music? Who knows!? 😎

I have in excess of 65,000 but I have been collecting for a while. That and I know people.😉

I have 15,000 CD quality on a 250GB USB in my new car - reads 'em just fine with GraceNote built in

I often confuse futons and fotons...:beerchug:

ORT
Thanks a lot, ORT. I can already hear the murmur of the peanut gallery in the distance:

"Futons are to sleep on, Fotons put you to sleep"
"Futons have a soft, spongy cushion. Fotons make your sound soft and spongy."
"Futons are cheaper than most beds. Fotons are cheaper sounding than most tubes."

I won't go on...I'm already irritating myself.

(also: trying to malign them to the point nobody wants them and I can have all the rest for myself. 🤣🤣)

i have 1,600 just JuiceWRLD tracks in mine lol; plus a ton more albums of course. Fiio App on my phone made transferring to it from my PC and playing from it in my car super easy.

Kid made more music in 4 years than anybody ive ever heard of

Pennsylvania is full of weird town names: Ancient Oaks (What?), King of Prussia (why?), Pittsburgh (jk!)
Up until the recent mention of Intercourse, Lizard Lick, NC has been my favorite. Not clear on what the lizard is licking though.....
