And the few parts that are electrical would be Lucas and should therefore be replaced.... immediately with something that will work.
During the War the American service personnel stationed in the UK would complain about the warm beer - it was no coincidence - we had Lucas refrigerators !!

Had to say goodbye to our boxer boy Buster today (always cancer with this breed unfortunately). Only 4 and was my son's best friend. Hug your pups (maybe not your cats though) 20220916_075818.jpg

Sincerest condolences. It's never easy when a furry companion leaves us.

My wife and I understand. Our hearts ache with yours.

This shelf represents one ChowChow, one Rottweiler, and five of six boxers.

When I was a kid, we didn't have a carrier for the cat. We took them in a pillow case to the vet. 😐

…moving housepanthers always seems to be dramatic. Despite being mildly sedated and in rigid travel carriers, our beasts howled all the way from Toronto to the upper peninsula… during a surprise snow squall… 4h. 🤦🏽

Sorry for your loss. It’ never easy, and early is worse. Blessings to you

Samsung plasma here too, at least 10yrs old and still running strong.

IF it fails (and mine did, at around the 10k hour mark), it is most likely the power board, which is easy to remove. I sent mine to Coppell TV Repair in Carrollton, Texas, and they repaired it for a flat-rate fee of $90. A week later it was back up on the wall.

someone has to say this, given our recent conversation: RTFM!
You mean the manual that says "Switch #3 Preamp Switch. Up turns on the preamp out-puts, down turns them off." Yes I read that. However, it does not address having no headphones plugged in while using the preamp out.

Well folks, if you ordered an Aegir 2, there may be hope that they finally have manuals and are finally shipping. My order status went from a payment status of "AUTHORIZED" to "PAID", so it seems that things may be moving along now. Hopefully shipping confirmations will begin!! :fingers_crossed:

Lost a Chartreuse (cat) to cancer on Christmas Day, and our 14yo Cavalier to old age two weeks ago. We feel your pain…
Sorry for your loss
