Itā€™s been too longā€¦ must have BBQ! (And REAL BBQ as we all knowā€¦)

BBQ done RIGHT, first while in Mass, second (same pit) while in TXā€¦ two pork butts, to racks of baby backs, and one tasty brisket (with salmon fillets in the cooler up stack to the left)ā€¦ and a gratuitous red-ringed brisketā€¦

PS; @Jason Stoddard the final pic is what the master bedroom of the house we bought 2 years ago here in NH looked like. The woman was being committed by her family as she had a very serious case of ā€œHoarderism mental illnessā€ā€¦ that picture was AFTER she had ā€œmoved outā€ (the entire house was disgusting, showers where packed with stuff, we didnā€™t know HOW she even bathed, crap was piled 5 feet high in all the rooms, etc.)

So yeah, collecting things like records, books, wine, etc is NOT ā€œhoardingā€

(Minimalist>Normal Person>Enthusiast>Collectoritis>Hoarder)

I'm to the left of minimalist on that spectrum.
Well that certainly helps to explain the labels on all of your products/remotes. :beerchug:

(I'M KIDDING!!)

As someone who does shipping & receiving for a living, $300 is high. Shipping amps not in their original boxes isnā€™t too difficult. If theyā€™re heavy, the key is to double box. Start by enveloping the amp in lots of bubble wrap and heavy duty shipping tape. Like at least 3-4ā€ around every side. Pack that into a tight-fitting box. Tape it up and put that box into a larger box with a couple more inches of bubble wrap around the inner box. Tape all seams and maybe even around all sides. Make it as tight fitting as possible because these boxes will get tossed and dropped. It might seem like overkill but itā€™s more likely to survive the trip this way.
When placing "fragile" stickers on your beloved package, keep in mind that may be interpreted as "drop with both hands"

Packing up just last week, I put the receiver I bought in 1977 back in its original box. Hoarder? Well, it's cardboard. My precious. šŸ¤£

Like @corndog71 , I'm admittedly OCD when it comes to audio component boxes. I save them all. I've been known to move around a lot, and having the original boxes has provided much value...for me. Plus I've been fortunate to always have room to store them without having to keep them in a stack in the middle of the living room floor. But the shipping boxes for everything else are discarded, and always recycled when possible. I'll therefore claim to be a Minimalist Hoarder.
When I took my maggies to White Bear Lake to get them re built , The guy who checked them in yelled to the other employees "hey guys..check out the original box!"

I've been called out :grimacing: . Think I mentioned this on SBAF at one point but found out that it worked from @ethr with their CA-1A.
It's how I like to run my SR-1b:

I have a matching speaker amp to headphone adapter, it's just not setup in this picture.
But there's no noise floor and the sound is great. Been running it like this for close to a year now without any issue.
Cangle, really like the headphones you have as your avatar pic. Great colors! šŸ‘

You are leaving a part of your tube collection [hoard] for me to pick up? It is 6 hours from Dixie to Hotlanta, but I will help you depart in style.

Did I say that? Dang. And I haven't even hit the Buffalo Trace yet. Perhaps this memory/old age correlation I read about somewhere (just can't remember where) is real? šŸ¤£
