You know you're getting old when the first thing you think of is.....................why not just have it delivered to your hotel in San Diego??
.... you know you're getting old when: people who you know are old, don't look old ... 🤔😳

Somehow I missed that one. Listening to it now. Thanks! If you can find it, this is in a similar vein -

I have the one at Apple Music, 1999, 21 songs, 1h22m, Dr. John Malcolm Rebennack (The Crazy Cajun Recordings), I don't know if you like it or not.

I've got that one, too. It's also on Qobuz. And, yes, I do like it. :beerchug:

Getting things delivered to hotels is harder than you'd think (via the big services). Especially when a signature is required...
You just have to remember to properly tip the concierge and she'll get to your room. Or are you talking about pizza?

The wife and I have been drinking this for a handful of years:

It will het you going when you need to start your workday!

She, unfortunately, does not share my taste in morning tunes, however:

I must confess that after letting the tubes warm up for a bit (while the drip brewed), I paused the track that was playing at that time, grabbed the headphones, turned the volume up on the Valhalla, and I skipped over to this particular track to start my sesh. Hearing Tom Araya's piercing scream on the opening seconds of Evil Has No Boundaries truly set the mood for the quick listening session. I know this is not the best live recording out there (nowhere close, haha), but there was some effort to present a sense of staging. Each guitar gets it's own side of the headphones, with drums, bass / vocals centered. The dueling solos... the crowd's close proximity to the recording mics... SLAYER! SLAYER! SLAYER!... the accentuated "small venue" atmosphere...

Hot Deathwish, Bifrost 2, Valhalla 2, 6xx... *chef's kiss!

I paired my Drop HD6XX with the Vali2++ and must say, Holy Schiit what a combo! The best I've ever heard in my low dollar spending. I've been in the headphone game for quite some time, but the sound coming from this combo puts that grin on my face every time I listen. Totally blown away. My question is: What would be the next logical move up in amps, dollar wise, to further improve the sound? I'm not looking for a slight incremental improvement in sound, but something that highly surprises me once again, like when I finally heard the prior combination. Want to stay in the Schiit eco system, but not ready just yet to shoot for the absolute top.
I would definitely enjoy the Vali2++ some more and wait impatiently for the Valhalla three.. Scheduled for this year iirc...

Listening to the Aegir for few days, tried every Dac and every Headphone amp pre function. The difference between Aegir and Vidar 2 is not only Aegir runs cooler, Aegir can play the different DAC and Headphone amp pre in a much better way (easier to hear the sound signature of Dac/ Headphone amp pre), Vidars 2 is good too but Aegir is just better.

More an Airplane than a Starship fan; will queue up some of their earlier stuff as well.
Me too. Airplane is better musically, but the Starship years hold a lot of nostalgia for me.

About the Aegir, still not yet get used to its faster self-check time ... it did went to fault mode when the Valhalla 2 is not yet stabilize and triggered the high DC offset.....

Look out behind your house. That little shack, with the moon cut into the door, is a "Schitter".
I know Texas is flat, but I cannot see Bill's new OK home from here.
