Am familiar with Threshold, def not too "bright" for my tastes.I always found the Threshold, Krell, and Forte’ stuff too bright for my tastes

If you get the the Klipsch for cheap <$100, that could be a nice nearfield system.
The Elacs are harder to drive. 87db/6 ohm vs 93db/8 ohm for Klipsch.
Polk Monitor series from the early 80s. Monitor 4a or 5b are small and should be efficient enough. -- 89db.
Sad news indeed.Sad to note the passing of Melanie, who is remembered for Lay Down (Candles in the Rain.) Melanie Safka, 1947-2024.
Did you actually look? As I would expect, I see multiple artists named Krell and Forte.Never heard Krell or Forte, and can't find them on any streaming service,
You like having the cord stick out the top and flop over? Rebel! I do like your sig though!
Would also work well in a house like @Ripper2860 's.Hey, that way it clears the wall wart underneath.
The correct way to install a NEMA 15-2r receptacle is with the parallel ground [round] pin on top. Most commercial electrical installs comply, but most consumer installs do not.Hey, that way it clears the wall wart underneath.
I have those speakers. They are excellent near field. The larger RP600M’s fill a room better. Heresy even better. But on a desk the 50’s are great. Yes I have too many Klipsch speakers. Currently looking at Cornwalls.Oh. That's easier.
Klipsch and Schiit work well.

Don't know your budget, but the KEF LS50 is one of the most compact speakers with big sound and good bass.
Of course I didn't, but then had I it wouldn't have been so amusing to meDid you actually look? As I would expect, I see multiple artists named Krell and Forte.
Also the NEMA 20R receptacles (rated 20A) should not be installed on typical older home circuits rated for only 15Amps.The correct way to install a NEMA 15-2r receptacle is with the parallel ground [round] pin on top. Most commercial electrical installs comply, but most consumer installs do not.
Then all the writing on my GFCI outlets would be upside down. The correct way to install a NEMA 15-2r receptacle is with the parallel ground [round] pin on top. Most commercial electrical installs comply, but most consumer installs do not.
Most definitely so. So is his first symphony, which many discount as poor music.
Is Rachmaninoff's 2nd Symphony criminally underrated?
Yes. Yes, it is.
Yup. Contractor grade. Then all the writing on my GFCI outlets would be upside down.
